Care of Terracotta Cats
Our cats are individually hand built using specially selected terracotta clays and made to be durable. They have a natural finish that will age, and with time develop a beautiful patina. Just like plant pots and other outdoor terracotta the surface will weather. This is perfectly natural and to be expected, scrubbing with a natural bristle brush and warm water will remove everyday dust and dirt.
Our terracotta cats are fired to high temperatures making them suitable for outdoor use and can be left out in all weathers. However, care should be taken to ensure they are not left standing in water during freezing conditions.
